BODYBODYBODY is an ongoing participatory artistic research that explores the relationship between dance, community building and activism. The aim of the research is to explore how the dancing body can become a site of resistance and instrument for social change.
The research uses queer-feminist pedagogies as a framework for participants to explore the body’s role in activism, build self/collective care strategies and investigate ways of developing a deeper connection to bodily sensations.
The first part of the research took place within the framework of a residency at DOOR Foundation, Amsterdam and culminated in an artist talk, a guided meditation and a collective listening session with DJ and sounds artist Faustin.
